Mariashoni community development (MACODEV CBO) is community-based organization. The organization was formed through the effort of our local groups which are beekeepers and who came together and in the year 2012 they agreed to form an umbrella organization and thus MACODEV CBO was formed , and later the CBO was registered in the year 2015.

The CBO empowers and lead the communities leaving in the whole of Mariashoni ward, Nessuit ward and Elburgon ward majority being the Ogiek community towards sustainable development and livelihood improvement in beekeeping and eco-farming in the region.

MACODEV CBO works as an umbrella of the twenty three member groups to the organization, buying honey, refining and packing. We are currently located at Mariashoni trading center opposite chief's office and Kenya forest offices approximately eight kilometers south from Elburgon town towards Elburgon Ololong’oi road. Mariashoni location is at Elburgon division Molo sub-county, Nakuru county in Kenya.
